Foreign Policy Making Capacities and Foreign Policy Priorities of the Mandate States of Syria and Lebanon during the Interwar Period

In this study, foundation principles, operations, common and different characteristics of the French mandate administrations established in Cameroon, Togoland, Syria and Lebanon are discussed with their respective colonisation and/or decolonisation processes. By so doing, it is claimed that colonisation and decolonisation can be simultaneous processes that vary in different temporo-spatial cross-sections through these examples.
