Survey Invitation - Using Local Infrastructures for Generative AI

22. giugno 2026
Call for papers

We're at PASC 2026 in Bern this July, and we are looking for your input on a topic we think matters a lot to the research community.

We're running a short survey on how researchers, students, and scholars are using — or would like to use — local computing infrastructures (like HPCs and on-premise clusters) to run generative AI models and inference workloads.

As AI tools become a bigger part of research workflows, we want to understand what's working, what's missing, and where local infrastructure could better serve the community.

Who should fill this in? Anyone working or studying at a university or research institute — across all fields, from humanities to natural sciences. You don't need to be a tech expert; your experience (or lack of it) with these tools is exactly what we want to hear.

It takes about 8–10 minutes: Take the survey by 22 June 2026 (https://framaforms.org/serving-inference-unibe-1779955001). Your data will only be used for this survey (and maybe a small publication), and the form will be deleted in 6 months.

Your responses will help shape how local AI infrastructure is developed and made accessible to the broader research community.

Thank you for your time — and feel free to pass this on to colleagues who might want to weigh in!
