This talk will address the neglected subject of Yugoslav state policy and practice surrounding family planning, birth control (abortion, contraception), and reproductive health of the population both during the inter-war and post-war period. Furthermore, it will explore the connected emancipation and position of women, liberation of sexuality and relations between the sexes, as well as the issue related to attempts to introduce sex education in school curricula.
