post-doctoral assistant

This person, trained as a historian and contemporary scholar (PhD required in the history of medicine or in the history of gender and sexual health), will work on hospital archives (1950-2020) from an intersectional perspective. She will work within the Institute of Ethics, History and Humanities (iEH2) as part of the NRP83 project, in close collaboration with the Health and Gender Unit at Unisanté (University of Lausanne).

Qualifications required

The candidate must have a solid background in medical or health history, a practical knowledge of hospital archives, scientific rigor in historical methodology and intersectional approaches.

The candidate must have written a doctoral thesis, and have demonstrated the ability to publish in international peer-review systems.

As the project involves collaboration with other institutions and research teams, good communication skills and experience of teamwork are essential.

A good knowledge of French and English is required.

Start date: 1st of September 2025
