Call for papers
          Valle Camonica Historical and Anthropological Society is organizing the ninth edition of the Meetings for the Alpine Tradition Study (I.S.T.A.) on 12th October 2019 in Breno (BS-Italy). The topic of the meeting will be «Witchcraft in the Alps. Curses, trials, inquisitors and stakes».
Following the conference, the organization intends to publish a volume which will contain both the papers presented at the meeting and those selected through this Call for papers.

The Call for Papers intends to collect and select articles to be included in a volume that will deal, with an interdisciplinary look, with cases study related to manifestations of witchcraft (defined as an accusation of alleged magic activity to the detriment of other people for private or ritual purposes) in the Alpine area from the medieval to the contemporary age. Participation is free of charge.
