The Circuits of Television: Histories, Technologies, Imaginaries

bis
Tagung

Organized by Marie Sandoz, Anne-Katrin Weber (University of Lausanne), and Markus Stauff (University of Amsterdam), the conference aims to rethink the history and theory of television by questioning the various circuits, feedback mechanisms, and loops that shape the medium. This starting point allows for the exploration of the under-documented convergences between the historiographies of television and those of computer science, cybernetics, video art, ecology, and systems theory—fields in which the concepts of circuit and feedback are key.
