Latsis Symposium 2026: The history of epidemics - are there lessons for the future?

9. Februar 2026 bis 11. Februar 2026
Tagung

The 2026 Latsis symposium focuses on epidemics of the past, present, and future. Specifically, it will address the question of how we may use the treasure trove of data and knowledge gained from experience with past epidemics to understand and better handle present and future ones.

The symposium consists of four sessions, covering the main topics of its interdisciplinary headline: 1) Population dynamics of past outbreaks, 2) Phylogenetics, phylodynamics, and ancient DNA, 3) Disease history, and 4) a synthesis session with a panel discussion among the main contributors.

Participation is free but application is required due to limited capacity. Apply for short talks or poster presentations here.
