The British Commonwealth and United States' financing of Biafra Relief, 1967-1970

This PhD project seeks to analyze the British Commonwealth countries and United States' financing of the humanitarian aid that went into rehabilitating the Biafran children and other victims during the Nigerian Civil War. The inquiry seeks to shed light on how financial resources and political decision-making were intertwined, highlighting the interconnected interests of military and humanitarian goals in the context of Cold War-era relief operations
