Workshop: Open Access & Open Community Peer Review

The DSI Digital Humanities Community in collaboration with Moritz Mähr is organising the workshop «Open Access & Open Community Peer Review: Rethinking Scholarly Publishing in the Digital Humanities» in Zurich on 30 April 2025. This workshop also marks the launch of the Open Access Work-Package within the Digital History Network Switzerland.

 

The workshop discusses university presses, public-private partnerships and preprint infrastructures, and how open access platforms can accelerate the dissemination of research. It will also explore community and open peer review to promote inclusivity and shared authority in scholarly communication. In addition, open source tools will be showcased such as Git, Quire and Quarto to simplify publishing and peer-review workflows, making them more adaptable and researcher-friendly.
