Abstract
This research explores the emergence of a new form of collective representation for Palestinians in Israel, who have started to define themselves as an indigenous national minority since the late 1990s. Particularly, it looks at how certain Palestinian civil society organizations (e.g.: Adalah and Mada al-Carmel) mobilize indigeneity in order to achieve equality and national self-determination in the state of Israel. It also addresses contending views and priorities within this community.
