New e-Dossier Dodis: The Jura question and international politics

For decades, the Jura question had agitated Swiss domestic policy. But the Bernese Jura’s separatist efforts also affected Switzerland’s international relations. The conflict strained diplomacy with Switzerland’s neighbour France and affected its relations with the Council of Europe as well as the possibility of Switzerland joining the European Convention on Human Rights. In honour of the 40th anniversary of the popular vote on the creation of the Canton of Jura, the Dodis research center has compiled an e-Dossier assembling a range of historical documents from the online database Dodis. You can find the e-Dossier here: dodis.ch/dds/11325.
