Since 6 June 2014 the Fotostiftung Schweiz (Swiss Foundation of Photography) has been using the image database of ETH Zurich E-Pics thereby strengthening its online presence. The catalogue offers diverse and detailed search, zoom and order functions.
More than 10,000 photos posted online give insight into the wide range of topics in its stocks and the works of important Swiss photographers like, for instance, Hans Staub and Gotthard Schuh. The online offering is constantly growing.
With the Fotostiftung Schweiz the ETH-Bibliothek has secured a renowned partner in the field of photography who will safeguard the heritage of Switzerland and make it known to a wide public. E-Pics is run by the ETH-Bibliothek and serves both the ETH Zurich and external institutions as an administrative and presentation platform for historical and topical images. More than 300,000 digitized documents are currently accessible.
