History of Capitalism Lecture Series: Prof. Francesco Boldizzoni, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim Prof. Francesco Boldizzoni latest work, Foretelling the End of Capitalism (2020), examines misadventures in social forecasting since Karl Marx and offers an explanation for the persistence of capitalism, while casting doubt on its future prospects. He has also published The Poverty of Clio: Resurrecting Economic History (2011), a critique of the domination of quantitative «cliometrics» in the field of economic history.
