Digital History Switzerland 2024: Historical Research, Digital Literacy and Algorithmic Criticism

Digital History Switzerland 2024 is a conference that will take place September 12–13, 2024 at the University of Basel.

Under the title «Historical Research, Digital Literacy and Algorithmic Criticism», it aims to provide a platform for scholars, researchers and professionals of all ages and levels of experience to discuss challenges, exchange experiences, share best practices, and discuss forward-looking approaches to historical research in the digital age.

Programme:

The full programme is online, and features more than 40 papers and a poster gallery in two parallel sessions.

Additionally, the programme features several special sessions:

  • Keynote address by Gerben Zaagsma (C2DH, Luxembourg), Thursday September 12, 18h00
  • Information Event by the Swiss Open Research Data Task Force (Link), Thursday September 12, 12h30-14h00
  • Networking Event by the Digital History Network Switzerland (Link), Friday September 12, 12h30-14h00
