With the attached Call for Applications, we would like to draw your attention to the Summer School of our Graduate School of the Arts and Humanities (GSAH) of the University of Bern, in partnership with the European Summer School in Cultural Studies (ESSCS).
The Summer School on the topic “Intersections: Reimagining Identities, Positionalities, Multiplicities, Alterities” will take place from 2 to 6 September 2024 at Hotel Schloss Wartegg (Lake Constance), Switzerland. We expect an exciting and for all disciplines relatable topic as well as promising international guests (Prof. Dr. Jack Halberstam, Prof. Dr. Ange-Marie Hancock, Prof. Dr. Daniel Loick).
The Summer School is certainly a unique and exciting opportunity for scientific exchange and networking. Please share the attached Call for Applications with interested doctoral students and postdocs. Application deadline is April 22, 2024.
How to apply?
The Summer School offers doctoral and postdoctoral scholars a unique opportunity to contribute to a broader discussion with their own research and ideas. We encourage applications from researchers from the humanities and the social sciences with a strong interest in theoretical debates in an interdisciplinary setting.
Please provide us with the following application material:
• a letter of motivation, indicating how you expect to benefit from participating in this Summer School and how you can contribute, in turn, to the discussions (mentioning your specific interest in the topic)
• a CV of max. two pages
• an abstract (500 words) of your current research project with some keywords
