Lecture
Lecture by: Prof. Dr. Matthieu Gillabert (Fribourg); Dr. Mikuláš Pešta (Prag)
The onset of the Cold War marked a turning point for student activism within the communist bloc. Through their local and transnational organisations, students became embroiled in the Cold War's ideological conflict, while also creating spaces for discussion on social justice and everyday issues. Underlying this activism often was these youth organisations’ quest for autonomy.
