Acting together for Sustainable Scholar-Led Publishing National Diamond Open Access Conference

8. March 2024

The first National Diamond Open Access Conference in Switzerland seeks to raise awareness for scholar-led and community-owned scholarly publishing and will bring together the Swiss Diamond Open Access community around issues of sustainability.
Sustainability concerns the question of funding but also encompasses aspects of governance and ownership, the transparency of costs, the long-term provision of shared infrastructures, collaboration as well as institutional recognition and procedures of research assessment.

The objective of this conference is to discuss pathways towards a sustainable scholarly
communication system in Switzerland. The conference is organised by the «Platinum Open Access Funding» Project (PLATO) and will feature contributions by international Diamond Open Access experts, representatives of hosting and funding institutions and editors of Diamond open access journals.
