Mapuche girlhood during the Chilean dictatorship

This dissertation explores Mapuche girlhood during the Chilean dictatorship, focusing on youth culture, gender, and indigeneity. Through the oral testimonies of Mapuche women, this research examines the experience of growing up during a military junta. Using a post-colonial and feminist school of thought, this thesis will accentuate the oral testimonies with archival sources to recreate an innovative and revolutionary account of the long-erased history of Mapuche girls
