CfP: Current research on eighteenth-century Switzerland

The Swiss Journal for Eighteenth-Century Studies would like to invite you to submit article proposals for issue no. 16 (2025).

xviii.ch. offers the opportunity to publish scholarly articles, annotated editions of selected sources, or essays on current research trends on all aspects of eighteenth-century intellectual, social, or cultural history that directly or indirectly concern the area of Switzerland. Articles in German, French, Italian or English are published in parallel in printed and electronic form (Open Access Gold). All publication costs are covered by the Swiss Society for the Study of the Eighteenth Century and the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences. Supervision by an interdisciplinary editorial team and a double peer review process contribute to quality assurance. We would also like to explicitly encourage young researchers from all disciplines dealing with the Age of Enlightenment to submit article proposals from their ongoing projects to the editorial team.

Proposals for an article of no more than one page (including contact details) can be sent by email to info@xviii.ch by 15 March 2024. The editors will then review the proposals and invite the selected authors to submit their article by 30 November 2024(publication guarantee subject to acceptance in the subsequent external peer review).
