Abstract

This project delves into the relationship between Swiss chocolate and colonialism, slavery, and racism. It explores the origins of Swiss chocolate in the 18th century and its arrival in Switzerland. This study challenges existing narratives on Swiss chocolate's colonial history, shedding light on significant gaps in the literature. By exploring the historical ties between Swiss chocolate and colonialism, this research aims to provide a more critical perspective on a Swiss national symbol.., slavery., and racism.
