Fellagas, évolués, and Sultans: The decolonization moment, armed resistance, and Franco-North African history-memory

This project zeroes-in on decolonization as long process and narrative across French North Africa. Through a focus on a marginalized group of the fallega, it aims to transnationalize a historiography that has overwhelmingly been methodologically national, when not nationalist.
