The 11th edition of the Swiss Open Cultural Data Hackathon, GLAMhack26, will take place in Winterthur on 13-14 November 2026.
Organized in partnership with the Stiftung für Kunst, Kultur und Geschichte (SKKG), GLAMhack26 brings together cultural institutions, software developers, GLAM professionals (GLAM: galleries, libraries, archives, museums), digital humanists, artists, Wikipedians, researchers, and creative technologists to explore new ideas and foster innovation in the cultural heritage sector.
This year’s theme is Hack the Gap – Bridging Analog and Digital Worlds. During the two days of the hackathon, participants will collaborate to create innovative prototypes exploring how cultural heritage can move fluidly between the physical and digital realms – ensuring broader access, deeper understanding, and more inclusive participation.
An online info session for interested individuals and organisations will take place on Thursday, 21 May 2026, 12:30-13:30.
You can Sign up for the online info session, or register now for this year’s hackathon!
