The e-rara.ch platform makes digitized rare books from Swiss libraries available to the public, free of charge.

The present focus is on 16th century Swiss prints. Further collections concern astronomy, architecture and urbanism, mathematics and physics.

All the documents are online available.

Geneva Jewish Library - On-line Catalogue

The On-line catalogue allows researches in the holdings of the Geneva Jewish Library "Gérard Nordmann".

Münchhausen Library

The Münchhausens library documents the phenomenon Münchhausen for the time of 1760 till today.

It intends to unite publications into as many languages as possible, to get hold of original editions of the early time and to the literary sources and to provide evidence of the treatment of the material in different media.

There exists none publicly accessible catalogue. Now and then appear lists of branches on the website.

The PTT History Archive and Library (PTT Archive)

Inventory: 

The PTT History Archive and Library (PTT Archive) houses the records of the Swiss PTT from 1849 to 1997 – some 4,500 lineal meters of original documents from the founding of the federal postal system in 1849 to its privatization and division into Swiss Post and Swisscom AG at the end of 1997. A few of the items stored in the archive predate 1849. The library devoted to PTT history comprises some 2,000 lineal meters of books, leaflets and periodicals.

Swiss Federal Archives (SFA)

Inventory: 

The SFA preserve documents from the Federal Administration and the political bodies of the Federal State. The collections consist for the most part of paper files, but there are also photos, audio and film documents as well as digital data.

The SFA has also been entrusted with private archives of people and organisations with close ties to the Federal State. Most of the files and documents stem from the period following 1798. The files in the SFA are organised into 8 main departments:

Swiss Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (SSECS)

Inventory: 

The society maintains the exchange of research projects, informs the public, promotes research and organizes events.

University Library Bern - Map collections

The University Library Bern has an extensive collection of historic maps. Many of these maps, such as for example, the Ryhiner collection, Thomas Schoepf's maps of the area around Bern or Meyer-Weiss's Atlas of Switzerland are digitized and available online.

The Ryhiner Map Collection consists of maps, charts, plans and views from the 16th to the 18th century, covering the whole globe, most of them available online in high resolution.

Codices Electronici Sangallenses (CESG) – Digital Library

The purpose of the "Codices Electronici Sangallenses" (Digital Abbey Library of St. Gallen) is to provide access to the medieval codices in the Abbey Library of St. Gallen by creating a virtual library. Each digitized manuscript is accompanied by the most recent available scholarly description.

Today, CESG forms one component of a larger successor project e-codices - the Virtual Manuscript Library of Switzerland.
