Kellenberger Clock and Watch Collection


Divided into sections according to themes, and equipped with explanatory texts on the history of timekeeping, the exhibition invites to participate in a voyage through time. This journey leads past early instruments of astronomical observation, to sundials and sand glasses, mechanical clocks, sumptuous artistic clocks and rocket watches and on to electrical timekeepers.

The Fotomuseum Winterthur makes a part of its collection accessible online.

The works of some 300 individual photographers can be explored by browsing the index of artists and titles, or using the full-text search facility to find information about the artists and their techniques and to read commentated descriptions of the works in the collection.

Fotomuseum Winterthur is dedicated to photography as an art form and as a representation of reality. Fotomuseum Winterthur is on one hand an art gallery for photography by contemporary photographers and artists (with exhibitions by Lewis Baltz, William Eggleston, Nan Goldin, Andreas Gursky, Roni Horn, Boris Mikhailov and many others).

The Kunstmuseum Thun displays mainly contemporary art in special exhibitions.

Segantini Museum St. Moritz


Collection of 55 paintings, drawings and sculptures of Giovanni Segantini (1858-1899). Oil pictures, pencil drawings, pastels and charcoal drawings during Segantini's time in Italy, Savognin and Maloja. Main focuses of the exhibitions are the big alpine triptych Life–Nature–Death as well as the artworks of the Otto Fischbacher/Giovanni Segantini Foundation.

Abegg Foundation


The Abegg Foundation collects and undertakes research into historic textiles from the early days to around 1800, primarily regarding pieces from the European and Mediterranean areas. The textile wall hangings of late antiquity, pieces from the European Middle Ages and the testimonies of the Silk Road from the early Middle Ages are of major international importance.

Every Year the Museum organises a special exhibition about the textile art.

Polish Museum in Rapperswil


The Museum of the Polish culture and history occupies the second floor of the castle in Rapperswil and reflects the changeable history of the institution. It certifies centuries old history of the Polish - Swiss relations, the activities of the Swiss in Poland and the Polish in Switzerland. It shows the Polish traditions, the history of fights for independence and faith, the history of the "Solidarity" movement and winning the independence back in 1989. A special place in the Museum´s collection belongs to the Second Rifle Division, interned in Switzerland.

Bourbaki Panorama


Edouard Castres' circular painting of 1881 depicts a memorable event of the Franco-Prussian War (1870/71): France 's Eastern Army, under the command of General Bourbaki, crosses the Swiss border and gives up its arms in February 1871.

Beneath the viewing room platform, the museum features information on the historical context and the facts of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871, the fate of the Bourbaki Army and the Panorama of Lucerne.
